Report from the Philippines
I send special greetings to the Partner London Committee and its many generous and kind supporters. Your financial support over the years has really blessed the children and their carers. We are truly grateful and indebted. Without your support we would be unable to help the children with disabilities to whom you have given hope, love and care.
The 60 children with disabilities are much happier and healthier since we started giving them help and they are no longer as isolated as they used to be. The parents of the children who are housebound, are most grateful for the financial help that enables them to buy their medication and food. The children who are able to go to school are now much happier, as they are recognised as members of the community and are no longer ridiculed. I am very happy to send you photographs of the two boys who were given artificial limbs.
It is a joy now to watch them walk without crutches. They are slowly getting used to their new legs and soon we hope that they will be running like the other boys. The parents of Jaimer and Jeremiah have tears in their eyes with gratitude to those supporters who have such kind hearts to make this possible for their boys. I am pleased to report the progress of our work and send these photographs of the children. We hope that you are encouraged by these and will continue to support us in our vital work for the children with disabilities. On behalf of the children, their parents, our committee, volunteers and supporters in Bambang, I thank you very much. God bless you all.
